The C (Carbon) IEM utilizes a lab-grown diamond layer (8 microns) on our own proprietary high-temperature polymer substrate. All components inside our IEMs was 100% designed and tooled in-house, resulting in a totally unique product.
The sonic signature of the C IEM is an interesting mix of Ti and Be, with the enhanced bass response of Ti but the high-end extension of Be. It is well-suited for electronic music or anything with fast transients and extremely wide frequency response. C has the lowest THD of any IEM we have made, by a fairly wide margin.
All our IEMs feature Tritan™ bodies for high strength and zero resonance, custom front-and-rear tuned volumes, MIM logo caps, butyl rubber strain reliefs, and N48H grade magnets. Carbon sports a matte-black rear cap for the ultimate low-key, stealth look.

Enough fun built in to make listening to any style a joy but revealing enough to hear any detail buried in the mix.
C utilizes a lab-grown diamond layer (8 microns) on our own proprietary high-temperature polymer substrate. All components inside our IEMs were 100% designed and tooled in-house, resulting in a totally unique product.
The sonic signature of C is an interesting mix of Ti and Be, with the enhanced bass response of Ti but the high-end extension of Be. Due to the very high Young’s modulus (a measure of stiffness) and internal speed of sound, C’s diaphragm moves homogenously with no lag across the surface. It resists bending and distortion better than any metal, but is lighter than most metals.
Due to this remarkable diaphragm, Carbon has the lowest measured THD we’ve ever seen. We’re talking below 0.1% at SPL levels reaching near 120 dB SPL, in ear. We’ve never seen another headphone with as low a distortion curve as Carbon. And here’s how we measure it.

Living with carbons for 8 months now and they are my constant choice from all my IEMs (about 14 pairs from $20 to $1500 a pair). They just do everything right. Maybe not the cleanest treble, or smoothest bass but still very good and everything is just right sonically. Periodic nailed the comfort as well with these standard looking bullets instead of the “custom in ear” shape that pretty much everyone does today. For me the custom style starts to hurt my ear after an hour or 90 minutes but I find I can wear the carbons for 8 hours a day without pain. Just great sound for all day. love these units best purchase I ever made!
